Picture this: You’re about to hop on a quick voice chat or join an important conference call. You reach for your headset—only to find your audio still blasting through your speakers. The constant hassle of managing wired headsets, AirPods, and speakers was more than an inconvenience—it was a daily struggle.
The Search for a Simple Fix
I scoured the market for a one-stop device that could handle all audio outputs seamlessly. Instead, I found expensive, basic headset stands that offered no smart switching, intuitive controls, or multi-device support (Bluetooth, AUX, USB). It became clear: there had to be a better way.
From Idea to Reality: Prototyping SmrtStand
Frustrated by the limitations, I decided to create a smart, physical hub that automatically detects and switches between audio devices. What started as a software idea evolved into a series of prototypes that integrated sensors, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB hub, and even wireless charging—plus voice commands for hands-free control.
Our Innovation Journey
1: Concept & Prototype 1 – Developed a basic stand with a sensor to detect headset usage, proving that automatic detection was possible. 2: Refinement – Explored ways to support Bluetooth connectivity to integrate AirPods into the mix. 3: Prototype 2 – Enhanced the design with Bluetooth capabilities and a refined form factor, making audio switching feel almost magical. 4: Feature Integration – Added voice command controls and began experimenting with wireless charging to elevate user convenience. 5: Prototype 3 – Achieved the breakthrough model by integrating a USB hub for extra ports and centralizing audio management so all devices forward seamlessly to your PC. 6: Devoloping Ai Audio Profile analysis for the best audio experience.
Future Enhancements
Looking ahead, I’m planning to integrate AI-powered sound profiling to deliver the optimal audio experience, along with further refinements to design and usability.
